Harmon, Christopher E. October 23, 2005 HARMON, Christopher E. Christopher E. Harmon, departed this life on Thursday, (October 20, 2005) at Kimberly Hall Nursing Facility in Bloomfield. He was born on April 18, 1918 in Beehive, Guyana and was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Collins) Harmon. He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Sheila Harmon, who also resides at Kimberly Hall. He attended Ann’s Grove Methodist School and Trade School and with encouragement from his family decided to join the Guyana Police Force. He retired in 1973 after 30 years of distinguished service as Deputy Superintendent of Police. He and his family migrated to the United States where he worked at Mount Sinai Hospital for many years before his retirement in 1993. He was a devoted brother to his four sisters - Ruth Duguid, Mildred Bob, Sylvia Downes and Christina Gilbert, his youngest and only surviving sister.
