Bentick Sancho and his descendants Sancho of Trinidad and Tobago

Brooklyn, New York, USA
Friday, July 26, 2013.

Dear Sir/Madam
I am interested in Sancho family history and Sancho family tree. Therefore, I am also interested in accessing the information found on the certificates of births, marriages, and deaths of numerous persons surname, Sancho and the members of the kinship of Sancho connected to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
The aim is to link Sancho of Trinidad and Tobago to Bentick Sancho and his descendants and relatives. Therefore is it possible to look up data for John Sancho? I don’t have accurate information respecting the events of his life – birth, marriage, and death. I believe John Sancho was birthed in the 1840s. The event quite possibly occurred at Buxton or Friendship or Paradise on the East Coast of Demerara. I also believe John Baptiste Sanco who is said to have died on February 17, 1920 is indeed John Sancho, son of Bentick Sancho. It is said John Sancho died in the Fifth Company Village, Moruga. It is understood, the remains of John Sancho and that of Mary Elizabeth Sancho, his wife, are interred at the cemetery of St. Stephen’s Anglican,  the Church at Princes Town in Trinidad. I believe Mary Elizabeth Sancho, the wife of John Sancho, died on November 30, 1928. Is it at all possible to access the events the vital records of births, marriages and deaths of Lindsey Sancho, Violet Sancho, and Philmore Sancho? Who could point me to Sancho of St. Vincent and especially those who emigrated to Trinidad and Tobago? I suppose Sancho people are Temne people of Sierra Leone. They were enslaved at the Bentinck Estate in St. Vincent. Whence Sancho migrated to the colony of Demerary and to Trinidad.
I am hoping the information could and will be found within your institution or elsewhere in Trinidad and Tobago. Will you please forward to officials who are likely to assist; positively?
Most respectfully,
Allick Sancho

Luke-Sancho

It is a given not every person surnamed Luke and/or members of the kinship of Luke are descendants of Sancho. The aim of this exercise is to identify the members of the kinship of Sancho. This effort is focused primarily on the immediate relatives of Mrs. Adelaide Sancho-Luke. However, it would be totally illogical not to recognize the possibility that there are likely other links among the people of Luke and Sancho, other than that of David Luke and Adelaide Sancho. This is part of the up-hill task of accounting for all of the members of the kinship of Sancho, as accurately as humanly possible. Your input will be greatly appreciated. You are hereby asked to share your knowledge of our people, and/or to point us to sources of information; whereby persons connected to the primary ancestor will be identified. This Sancho hopes the future generations of Sancho researchers will pay homage to the integrity, Sancho ancestral heritage. He also hopes his fortitude, integrity; sincerity and the love for his Sancho biology will be appreciated and lauded by the future generations of Sancho researchers, and Sancho people, generally, most especially the DNA Sancho. William Sancho, at Buxton, 1880s - 1890s?

Are you aware of William Sancho, ca. 1880s - 1890s?  He was convicted of numerous  petty criminal activities, Old William Sancho certainly had it rough. obviously, this Sancho sympathize with his sufferings. However, because of the colonial records this Sancho became aware of the human experience. And for that truth and reality this Sancho is extremely grateful, Bit alas, their is no genealogical information available in print. If  Old William was birthed before 1869; perhaps the names of his immediate relates are available in the district.
