The case was called before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry and particulars of the offence stated that Marcilla Sancho (no address given), unlawfully assaulted Bibi Alli on March 30.She pleaded not guilty and was represented by Attorney-at-law Mr. Satyesh Kissoon who made a bail application.The lawyer informed the court that his client was in a minibus and the virtual complainant was the conductress. He said the virtual complainant began to abuse his client compelling her to pay an extra $20.Kissoon said his client refused to pay the money.
