G.D.F, officers commissioned

G.D.F, officers commissioned Twenty - four Junior Officers of the Guyana Defence Force, including two females, were yesterday state commissioned by Brigadier Clarence Price on behalf of the President6 of the country, Arthur Chung. At a very simple ceremony held in the Officers' Club of Camp Ayanganna, Thomas Lands. The Officers repeated the oath after the Brigadier before they were presented with a State Commissioned Certificate bearing the official seal. This is the second such ceremony, within three months. During November 1972, 13 senior officers of the GDF were State Commissioned by President Arthur Chung at Guyana House when the People's Army was celebrating its seventh anniversary.
